HAROLD SPARKS - C.C. MAN
Some 6000 handsome faces from all over the country wanted to be the C.C. (Canadian Club) Man, but Greater Cincinnati’s own Harold Sparks captured the title with ease. Today, you will find his heart-quickening visage in such magazines as Ebony, Essence, Black Enterprise and Jet.
When Canadian Club needed a new man to project the CC image: young, handsome and sophisti¬ cated, they initiated a contest — calling for ladies to send in a photograph of their nominees. Har¬ old's wife, dancer-model-counselor Joann Jolly Sparks, sent in her nominee. It wasn’t long before there was a call from New York. And, in May of last year the Sparks were flown first-class to the “Big Apple” where they were wined and dined by the Hiram Walker Inc., makers of Canadian Club. In addition to his appearances in national
magazines, Harold Sparks — the C.C. Man .... will be found on huge billboards in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York (among others).
In private life the 6’1 Mr. Sparks is a modest and friendly personality. A supervisor for GM-Fisher Body, he also models with the noted Evander Cherry Troupe. In addition, he enjoys all sports (especially tennis), a good game of backgammon, and secluded evenings at home.
He joins us tonight to help crown Miss Black America-Cincinnati. Who will walk down the run way with the C.C. Man? -TW

THE JAMES McCRAY CHORAL ENSEMBLE, is a group of young devoted Christians who have given their lives to Christ. Their first album, “COME UNTO ME AND REST”, has made them known throughout the country. Their album has instilled in the minds of many the love for our Savior Jesus Christ. The album made the gospel record charts throughout many cities. They received the Gospel Music Award for excellence from the well known Gospel Disc Jockey, Brother Al. They have traveled to many destinations singing in Florida, New York, Baltimore, Atlanta, Cleveland, Detroit, and other places. People are left astonished as this group sings God's messages or love into their hearts. They have been on programs with famous groups and religious singers such as, Lucille Lemon, Charles Fold, and appeared on a program with Walter Hawkins, and many more. Though trials and tribulations arise, there always seems to be a Special Spirit that tells them to keep on holding on until the end. With that kind of power nothing can hold them back from reaching the upward bound. Sharon Matthews, finale vocalist picture not available. Sharon is a member of the local group called “Amazing Grace” and has several records to her credit.
