    YOGASALA RGUKT-NUZVID ACHIEVEMENTS 12 of our students (6 Boys and 6 Girls) participated in All India Inter University National competitions and secured 10th place (Boys Team) and 13th place (Girls Team) which was held at University of Madras, Kanchipuram from 3rd to 9th Feb. 2019. Twelve students represented A.P in the National Level School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Yogasana competitions. Our student B. Anand Prasad N170049 achieved Third Place and secured Bronze medal in competitions which was held at Durg, Chattisgarh, 2017-’18. The first ever medal to Andhra Pradesh was won by our student. Our student B. Anand Prasad N170049 received first ever “Kreeda Pratibha Puraskar” (cash prize of Rs.20,000/-, Tab, Gold medal & certificate) from Government of Andhra Pradesh on 15th Oct. 2018 at Ongole. ABSTRACT-- Ground water is one of the important fresh water resources available for human consumption. Early people recognized the importance of water from a quantity view point. However assessment of the quality of ground water is essential for improving its potability. In this project work we have estimated the water quality of Bapulapadu Mandal which is located 10km away from the Gannavaram airport on east coast of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Water quality is tested for about 10 physico-chemical parameters of 90 water samples collected from various locations of 27 villages from Bapulapadu Mandal. The ground water samples are collected manually from the bore wells which were approximately equally distributed all over 27 villages of Bapulapadu Mandal. The samples were analyzed using MULTI- PARAMETER TEST KIT, which provide quick and easy water quality testing in the field. The combined effect of all there parameters was expressed in terms of WATER QUALITY INDEX. Bapulapadu Mandal map has been collected and analyzed. The data base obtained from water quality testing is used as attribute data base for preparation of thematic maps showing the spatial distribution of various water quality parameters.

Ramakrishna Abstract: Ground water is exploited with little recharge for meeting the increased needs of the society. As a result, the net groundwater availability is decreasing in many parts of the world. There is an urgent need to strike a balance between exploitation and recharge. The groundwater balance status in an academic campus in Mylavaram, Andhra Pradesh is studied for an effective usage period of 225 days in a year neglecting holidays and other vacations. The campus needs water to nearly 5000 members on a daily basis. The campus stretches to an area of 62.5 acres, most of it is pervious. The recharge in the campus is studied based on water table fluctuation method and Rainfall infiltration method suggested by Groundwater Assessment Committee recommendations revised in 2017. The rainwater harvesting potential based on impervious constructions in the campus is estimated. The study indicates that, based on current demand and availability, the net groundwater development is over-exploited. However, recycling of 50% of treated sewage for gardening and lawn sprinkling purposes will improve the condition, reduce the load on groundwater and the development is Semi-critical to critical.
