NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY FIX THE - NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH AND DEFINITIVE MAP & STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2013 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 and WILDLIFE & COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 (FIX THE FELLS PATH, DOVEDALE BECK TO BELOW DOVE CRAG, PARISH) The above order was confirmed on 23 September 2013 and will divert the western third of the footpath in the valley of Dovedale Beck west of Hartsdop Hall, to ensure that the legal maps more accurately reflect the situation on the ground. The effect of the order is to:

Alongside Between NY 3848 Divert in a loop a maximum of Dovedale Beck 1161 & NY 3818 1161 40m north of existing mapped footpath. Between NY 3818 Divert in a loop a maximum of 1161 & NY 3791 1130 30m to south of existing mapped footpath.

In Houndshop Between NY 3791 Divert in a loop a maximum of Cove beneath 1130 & NY 3712 1082 140m north of existing mapped Dove Crag. footpath.

A copy of the orders and associated plan (which shows the effect of the order in detail) has been placed and may be seen during office hours at Eden District Council, Town Hall, Penrith, , CA11 7NY, at the Lake District National Park Authority, Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL, and at Tourist Information Centre, Beckside Car Park, Glenridding, Cumbria CA11 0PA. You can also buy copies from the Authority for £3 each. The order will come into force on 5th October 2013. If any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or any provision contained in it, they can apply to the High Court within six weeks from 5th October 2013. The grounds for applying are that: the order was not made within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended), or that any requirement of the Act (as amended), or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with.
