Torridge Class Jodie, Noah & Tom - for great maths work and for working hard to understand their task, Lenny - for great literacy work, Cordelia & Finnley - for working well independently in maths, Charlie - for showing great determination in producing work, School Council (Anthony, Charlie, Cordelia, Matilda & Tom W) -for their enthusiasm and very impressive attitude in their school council roles, Netball Team (Abigail, Anthony, Charlie, Chloe, Eve, Finnley, Henry, Lucy W, Mercy & Rose - for great effort and teamwork with a special mention to Rose for showing great dedication and courage for putting herself forward to join Filleigh’s team. ~ The following children were celebrated this week: Taw Class Tom - for great improvement in his handwriting and for taking pride in his work, Maisy - for impressive maths and literacy, Neila - for great improvement and increased independent working in maths and literacy, Autumn - for independent working, great participation and effort in PE and Active Club. Medicine Consent Form For you information there is now a medicine consent form, for staff to be able to administer medicines to children on the website. It can found in the key documents link which can be found under the Further Information tab. It can be down- loaded and printed so that parents can complete this if they are unable to get into school in the morning, i.e. children that travel by bus or come to breakfast club, and their child requires medicine during the day. His advice sheets on deleting search history and checking your personal on-line data on multi-media can be emailed to you, please let the office know your email address. I hope this is helpful and thank you for attending on 19th September. I would like to thank you for attending the parents and carers internet safety awareness session at school on 19th Septem- ber. Thanks for engaging in the session and showing interest in many of the points raised and albeit the topic can be quite seri- ous there were some moments of appropriate humour which I thank you for embracing. I hope you found the session in- formative and useful. As discussed I've attached some pointers for further reading and below in this mail is a link which I recommend you take a look at. As discussed at our recent meeting it may have some hidden negative consequences. http://bbc.in/2g2xgn4 Year 6 Secondary School Transfer With the deadline fast approaching (31st October 2017), please could parents be aware they need to apply either by using the online system www.devon.gov.uk/admissionsonline or by contacting My Devon, the customer service centre on 0345 155 1019 to request an application form. The application form should be returned either to school or parents can post directly to the Admissions Team before 31st October 2017. Coffee, Clothes and Cake Sale Tomorrow, Saturday 14th October from 10.30-12pm Eliza Parsons will be holding a coffee, clothes and cake sale at Chittlehampton School. She is traveling to Uganda next summer with South Molton Community College as part of the Amigos charity project. The Amigos charity work with local people in Uganda to help them learn skills to build sustaina- ble futures. She is raising money to fund the trip and to donate directly to Amigos. If you have any clothes you would like to donate, please leave them at school and if you would like to donate cakes please bring them into school on Friday 13th October. All our welcome to the sale and thank you for your support. Soccer School Saints Southwest are running Soccer Schools during October Half Term from JUST £7.50** for a full course, 10am-3pm in Paignton**, Dawlish, Ottery St Mary**, Plymouth**, Crediton, Langport**, Exeter**, Dartmouth, Taunton, Kings- bridge, Newton Abbot** & Okehampton.
