Conscientious management combined with a limited number of hunts ensures the high quality of this outfitter and helps to guarantee quality from season to season.

Our partner offers hunting guests a successful hunt of ripe trophies. This allows us to offer hunts and hunting costs separately, which means you are only charged the trophy fees if your hunt is successful.

Accommodation The hunting ground and the lodge are situated at the lake Wanaka, which has a size of more than 22,000 ha. Wilderness alternates with beauty of the landscape. Matt also has access to other additional hunting grounds on the .

You stay in the game reserve in a comfortable lodge, which offers spectacular panoramic views over the gorgeous landscape.

The lodge is located on the South Island, close to the city of Wanaka. The surrounding area is very mountainous and named after the like-titled Lake Wanaka, which is New Zealand’s fourth largest inland lake.

Hunting season : Hunting in New Zealand begins in late February and continues until late August although summer hunts can also be arranged for certain species. The ‘rut’ period for stags in New Zealand is during the months March and April. These may vary in intensity depending on the temperatures. The alpine animals rut during May and June although they can be successfully hunted in their bachelor herds during other times of the year as well.

You may not bring foods such as fruits, vegetables, meats and baked goods or similar products into New Zealand. Furthermore, your hunting boots should be properly clean to avoid a long wait at customs in New Zealand. There should be no dirt or dried earth on your hunting boots. Likewise, we ask you when you pack your suitcase, pack your hunting boots in last. These must be presented at customs, and are checked for cleanliness. We ask for your understanding and consideration.
