RADAC Fishing Beats

Beat One - Ellerton Estate South Bank only - No Spinning. Stretches from Stainton Lane end to the junction of Cogden Beck. Access Point One: Stainton Lane Ends. Access Point Two: Footpath opposite to Hagg Gill Farm.

Beat Two - Grinton Bridge North Bank only - Worm, Fly and Spinning. Stretches from Grinton Bridge to the stile at the base of the footpath to the Marrick Priory road. Entry point One: Grinton Bridge with limited parking at the bridge. Entry point Two: The footpath from the Marrick Priory road. Public Footpath runs the full stretch of the beat.

Beat Three - Swing Bridge - North Bank only North Bank only - Worm, Fly and Spinning with a Public Footpath along the length of the beat. From the Swing Bridge at Reeth to the stepping stones south of Healaugh. Entry point One: At the end of the footpath from Back Lane, past the Doctors Surgery. Entry point Two: Public Footpath from Healaugh Green, South to the stepping stones.

Beat Four - Isles Bridge - Rowleth Strands Isles Bridge: North bank only - Worm, Fly and Spinning. Entry point: Isles Bridge. Dubbing Garth Lane: South bank only - Worm, Fly and Spinning. Rowleth Strands: North bank only - Worm, Fly and Spinning. Entry point: off the B6270 to road.

Beat Five - Gunnerside Estate North bank only - Worm and Fly only from Gunnerside Bridge to the junction with Routin Gill. Fly only from Routin Gill to Rampsholm Bridge. Entry point One: Stile on Gunnerside Bridge, parking opposite next to the Bridge along side Gunnerside Gill. Entry point Two: At Bridge. Parking available. Entry point Three: Rampsholm Foot Bridge. Approach from Muker village through meadows to Rampsholm Bridge or from unclassified road from Gunnerside Lodge.

Day ticket fishing is available to member’s guests (£10.00 per day), these can be purchased and collected at the following places upon presentation of a valid rod license:-

Upon completion of the days fishing, the ticket must be returned to the Secretary with the catch return section completed. IMPORTANT NOTE: Spinning is only allowed after the 1st May and only when the water is coloured.
