Ms. Rose Mary Schumacher, representing the Barnston and Hatley Quilters Club, made an official presentation of this Community Quilt to the Municipality of Barnston West. It is permanently on show in the Way’s Mills Community Centre.
Club members members Jacqueline Baldwin, Lilli Bouldman, Gudrun Brand, Marcella Brown, Florence Cunnington, Karin Foessl, Masti D. Mayrand-Goodman, Nancy Booth Rouillard, Lysianne Reula-Sheard, and Rose Mary Schumacher designed the quilt which they hand-appliquéd, machine-pieced, and hand-quilted. They handcrafted it between September 2008 and October 2010 in the Way’s Mills Community Centre.
