Remote Exam Policies

For remote testing students will be monitored through a remote proctoring service. Currently the College of Veterinary Medicine utilizes the ExamMonitor/ExamID programs for remote proctoring. All students are required to have access to the necessary equipment to utilize the remote proctoring service for remote testing. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have access to the technology necessary to complete their exams. The College of Veterinary Medicine reserves the right to update these policies in the event that changes are deemed necessary for the successful continuation of the program. Students will be notified of any changes made to these policies in a timely manner.

Remote Exam Policies

The following policies are for remote (off-campus) testing. These may differ from our on-campus testing policies.

Exams are considered closed book unless specified by your instructor. Using your , textbook, or any additional resources is not permitted.

Cell phones, tablets, smart watches, and any other electronic devices are not permitted during a closed book exam. Failing to follow these instructions could result in a violation.

If your instructor has permitted this to be an open book exam you may be allowed access to your notes, both paper and electronic.

During an open book exam your testing program may remain unlocked, and you may have full access to your device. You can minimize or toggle between the exam and your notes.

These are not group exams, students are expected to complete the exam on their own, unless otherwise specified.

Under no circumstances may test content or any part of the test content be reproduced and/or disclosed by any means (e.g., hard copy, verbally, electronically) to any person or entity. You may not write down any exam questions or content.

Students requiring paper exam accommodations should contact ASA and the DRC for assistance, as paper copies will not be permitted off-campus.

Please ensure that you are clear about exam schedules. Exams will not be accepted beyond the posted due date without approval. Students are responsible for ensuring they are clear about their exam schedules. Missed exams will require an approved absence request form.
