KN is a Main contractor of the construction of heavy plants in Oil & Gas & Petrochemical Sectors. KN EPC capabilities are in the following projects: - Water - Wastewater - Power - oil & gas - solid waste - Other sectors Procurement And Material Control Department Procurement & Material Control Department is considered a centralized management system department that gets the materials and/or services for KN projects / departments and business units, where they fulfill the needs and the satisfactions. It consists of 4 Major Units: - Local Procurement Unit - International Procurement Unit - Logistic Unit - Store Administration unit Information Technology Department : KN’s IT department assures the capacity & efficiency to deliver fast services and seamless technical support through all our projects and operations with a high level of security. Environmental Department: The environmental department is responsible for monitoring and enforcing health and hygiene legislation. KN investigates through its strong environmental management system, how to transfer the environmental knowledge to all its operations in all its projects. Establishing Kuwait’s as modern, democratic, and independent nation, paradoxically, depended on a network of international organizations, foreign consultants, and world-renowned architects to build a series of architectural projects with a hybrid of local and foreign forms and functions to produce a convincing image of Kuwait national autonomy. Kuwait nationalism relied on architecture’s ability, as an art medium, to produce a seamless image of Kuwait as a modern country and led to citing it as one of the most democratic states in the Middle East. The construction of all major projects of Kuwait’s nation building followed a similar path; for example, all mashare’e kubra [major projects] of the state that started early 1960s included particular geometries, monumental forms, and symbolic elements inspired by the vernacular life of Kuwait to establish its legitimacy.
