The World Championship was dominated by teams from USA with 1st Mike Martin/Adam Lowry, 2nd Mike Holt/Carl Smit and 3rd Parker Shinn/Eric Anderson. 4th and first Australians were Peter Nicholas/Luke Payne 9th Christopher Paterson/Thor Schoenhoff and 11th Sandy Higgins/Paul Marsh. In the Australian National Championship raced concurrently with the Worlds the Nicholas/Payne st team came 1 with Sailing School Dates nd Paterson/Schoenhoff team 2 and rd the Higgins/Marsh team 3 .
