Its membership is open to science graduates, engineers and Secretary Dr. Vellaiyan Subramani physicians interested in the application of physics to medical and biological sciences. Treasurer Mr. Varadharajan Ekambaram Medical Radiation Physicists, Radiation Safety Members Dr. Lalit M Aggarwal Officers, Radiological and Hospital Physicists, Radiation Oncologists and Radiologists form Dr. Atul Tyagi the main group of the association. It publishes Dr. Thayalan Kuppusamy this quarterly journal. The association is having about 1200 active members. The Dr. Varatharaj Chandraraj journal is provided to its members and also Dr. Raghukumar P to the libraries of almost all leading Cancer Centres in the country on a very nominal Dr. Arabinda Rath subscription. Other than publishing Journal of Medical Physics, the association holds a Mr. Vinod Pandey national/ international conference every year Mr. Suresh Pangam to exchange information among its members. The association also supports advanced Mr. S Karthikeyan training of Medical Physicists by offering Travel Dr. Om Prakash Gurjar Fellowships. For public awareness, publication of articles related to medical physics and Dr. Vinod Kumar Dangwal radiation safety in newspapers and periodicals is encouraged. The association also works towards worldwide exchange of information on medical physics. The College of Medical Physics of India AMPI Board of Trustees (2015-2017) (CMPI) is an autonomous wing of AMPI which was established to function as the Mr. Satya Pal Agarwal certifying and accreditation body. Membership Chairman of AMPI is prerequisite to appear for CMPI Convener Dr. Pankaj Tandon certification examination. A member of AMPI can become member of CMPI only by passing Members Dr. Deepak Deshpande the certification examination. CMPI certification Dr. Kamlesh Passi indicates that the holder has acquired, demonstrated, and maintained a minimum Mr. Radhakrishnan Balan Nair standard of knowledge in medical physics and the competence to practice as clinical physicist in Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine.
