Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon Supports Fiona Ma for Treasurer
Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon today announced his support for Fiona Ma for State Treasurer in 2018.
“As a Certified Public Account (CPA), Fiona Ma has the experience we need to manage California’s finances and make smart investments for our future,” said Speaker Rendon.
“Fiona Ma will be and principled and innovative leader who will direct our state’s investments to create jobs and ensure shared prosperity for everyone,” Speaker Rendon concluded.
Anthony Rendon has served as Assembly Speaker since March 2016. He is joined by several of his Assembly colleagues who have endorsed Fiona Ma for State Treasurer:

Fiona Ma is a Certified Public Tax Accountant and currently serves on the California State Board of Equalization, where she has fought to increase accessibility, accountability and transparency over the B.O.E. and the taxpayer money it oversees.
Fiona previously served in the State Assembly, where passed laws to protect consumers, help working families pay their bills and provide equal rights for all Californians.
Fiona also served on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. She authored the landmark Local Business Enterprise ordinance on behalf of women and minority business owners and passed legislation to combat human trafficking.
Prior to her career in public service, Ma worked as an accountant for Ernst & Young, before leaving to start her own accounting practice. She is married to Jason Hodge, a full-time firefighter and an Oxnard Harbor Commissioner.
