Known as the best of his “early” symphonies, Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 will provide a magnificent conclusion to our Orchestral Series.

CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES NO. 3 Dvorak & Harbison SUNDAY 3:00pm / First Unitarian Church, Ithaca James & APRIL 19 DVORAK: Piano Trio No. 2, Op 26 Dianne 2020 HARBISON: Quintet for Winds Orcutt Dvorak’s second piano trio is a wonderful study of charac- ter and contrast with hints of his popular Slavonic Dances that would soon follow. John Harbison composed his quin- tet seeking to achieve a “classical simplicity.” This work has become immensely popular among musicians and audiences alike.
