TWQA | Spring 2014 Issue 3 President’s Message By John Blount, TWQA President Fellow TWQA Members: All great organizations are built on the dedication and hard work and tireless efforts of their members. The TWQA is no exception. Our organization is blessed with a tireless, dedicated core of experienced individuals with whom I count myself very fortunate to work alongside. Every one of the TWQA volunteers serving on the Board brings talents and a passion to build upon the past efforts of those who preceded us. Our vision is to build on the wonderful accomplishments of our predecessors. We continue to focus on providing our members with the best resources, networking capabilities, and professional development opportunities that are available in our great state. We have all watched as the TWQA has changed and grown over the years to meet the needs and demands of our profession and our industry. To be sure, change always requires effort. But effective change first requires careful thought to ensure that any effort is applied in the right areas. Accordingly, the Board spent a lot of time considering how best to meet the challenges and opportunities of not only today but tomorrow. To that end, many of you reached out to me and other members of the Board, providing valuable input and perspective on where to take the TWQA, and how to make it better. We are thankful for those of you who took the time and effort to share your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions. After carefully chewing through what you gave us, the TWQA set its priorities for the upcoming year, and is now poised to take the next steps towards becoming an even more effective resource and representative for the water conditioning industry. (More on that later.) One of your suggestions was a total redesign of the TWQA website. I invite you to take a look at your new and improved TWQA website at www.twqa.org. The site includes not only an updated look and feel, but is more interactive. You can also register online for upcoming events such as the convention and exposition July 16th-19th in Fort Worth. This new website exists because of the long hours and talents of both Tyler Stenseng and Roger Grace who were respectively the Web Design Chairman and Web Designer. I hope you will take the time, especially after you have tried the new website, to thank both Tyler and Roger for their fine efforts. Thanks, guys! And thanks to all of you for being part of this great organization. I wish you continued success throughout the coming year. Do great work, have lots of fun and maintain good balance. Go fishing! Sincerely, John B. P. Q. Hide not your talents, they for use were made.
