NATIONAL WEEKELY (23 - 28 FEBRAURY) Dr Harsh Vardhan launches Mission Indradhanush 3.0  The focus of IMI 3.0 will be on children and pregnant women who missed their vaccine doses during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The scheme was launched in 2014 to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to all citizens of the country.  It aims to immunise all children under the age of 2 years, as well as all pregnant women, against eight vaccine-preventable diseases.  These diseases are diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis, measles, meningitis and Hepatitis B. National Urban Digital Mission Launched by Centre  The NUDM has been launched jointly by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs along with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.  The mission aims to put in place a “citizen-centric” and “ecosystem-driven” approach to ‘urban governance and service delivery in cities by 2022, and across all cities and towns by 2024. The mission has three pillars – people, process, and platform. Union Cabinet approves President’s Rule in Puducherry  The Union Cabinet has approved to dissolve the Puducherry Assembly and impose President’s rule in the Union Territory, following the resignation of the Chief Minister, V Narayanasamy, whose government lost majority power in the assembly. The decision was taken as no party claimed to form a government, following which, Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan had recommended President’s Rule. India, Australia and France hold trilateral dialogue with focus on Indo- Pacific  A trilateral dialogue was held among India, France, and Australia on February 24, 2021, at the senior officials’ level, with a focus on further enhancing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. The aim of this trilateral dialogue is to build strong bilateral relation among the three countries and synergies their respective strength to ensure a peaceful, secure, prosperous and rules-based Indo-Pacific region.

47th Khajuraho Dance Festival 2021 begins  The festival was hosted each year at the magnificent city of Khajuraho located in the district of Chhatarpur, the artists perform in the backdrop of historical monuments.  The first-day event is dedicated to Bharatanatyam performance by Geeta Chandran and her troupe and Kathak performance by Deepak Maharaj.  The festival is being organized by the Culture Department through Ustad Alauddin Khan Music and Arts Academy Bhopal. CM SHIVRAJ SINGH CHOUHAN RENAMES HOSHANGABAD AS NARMADAPURAM  This was announced by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the Narmada Jayanti programme held in Hoshangabad. Hoshangabad was earlier named after an attacker Hoshang Shah, the first ruler of Malwa. CM TO INAUGURATE 100 NEW KITCHENS  Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate 100 new and equipped kitchen centers in the second phase of Deendayal Antyodaya Rasoi Yojana MP WINS NATIONAL JUNIOR CANOEING CHAMPIONSHIP  Host Madhya Pradesh performed wonderfully at the 31st Junior, Sub Junior Canoe Sprint National Championships and won the overall championship with 256 points.  Madhya Pradesh won 10 gold and 9 silver medals in junior men and sub junior boys. At the same time, 19 gold and 2 bronze medals were won in junior women and sub junior girls category.  Besides, Madhya Pradesh won a total of 40 medals including 29 gold, 9 silver and 2 bronze in the three-day competition. Uttarakhand in the boys category and Kerala in the girls category were runners-up.
