BIBLIOGRAPHY

This section of Scientific and Medical Writings in Old and Middle English: An Electronic Reference is divided into two parts. The first section, "I. EDITIONS AND FACSIMILES" provides bibliographical citations for facsimiles and the most recent or standard edition for OE and ME texts (as cited in eVK bibliographical fields).

Note that we cite editions of verse only when the publication date is subsequent to The Index of Middle English Verse or Supplement. For a fuller publication history of published OE texts, see Quinn and Quinn 1990, and for ME texts, see Keiser 1998.

The second section of this Bibliography, "II. CATALOGUES, HANDLISTS, AND RELATED RESOURCES," contains useful references, some of which are cited in the bibliographic field.

Unpublished dissertations are listed in section I when they contain edited texts. Otherwise they are listed in section II.
