CAD 122-101 ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE AT ISLA de LOS PAJAROS FULL DAY

Learn about its history and functions, its past, present and future. Then, get busy with a number of volunteer functions. We hope to repair tidal gates and salt channel walls, prepare nesting areas for wader birds or even build a jetty or birdwatching hide. Our volunteer activity will last most of the morning. During the morning you will meet and work side by side with locals who are the workers of the salt plains! Join them as they perform a “Despesque” (artisanal net fishing in the water channels) and help them prepare your lunch with what you’ve caught. Your fish will be barbequed and smoked over heather & brush fires. Whilst you are lunching there will be the option of bird watching and mixing with some of the Cádiz locals who personify this special area of Andalucia.
