Tandridge Neighbourhood Watch Newsletter

Bulletin 13 June 10th – June 18th 2021

Dear Neighbourhood Watch Members

The Dispersal Order that was in place in and which I wrote about in Bulletin 12 drew to a close on June 9th.

The week saw some fantastic results for us with a number of persons either:

• Dispersed • Removed from the area • Arrested • Stopped and searched

We had some excellent support from our Divisional Support Unit and from our colleagues in British Transport Police.

We will not tolerate Anti-social behaviour in our Borough, and we recognise the impact that it has on our communities. Please be reassured that your Safer Neighbourhood Team are working towards a long term problem solving conclusion.

Karen Hughes

Tandridge Safer Neighbourhood Inspector

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO STAFF HOLIDAYS BULLETIN 14 WILL BE CIRCULATED ON THURSDAY JULY 8th

For those of you who do not follow our Tandridge Beat Facebook page two postings this week are reproduced below:

You may remember some of our previous posts about our Hot Fuzz duo who had been keeping Tandridge safe, well both officers now work on our traffic division, based at .

One half of Hot Fuzz has been busy this week returning stolen tools to their owner. The tools were stolen in Sussex, the suspect car was stopped by officers driving into the Met just over the border.

We only managed to get the tools back to a very grateful owner due to a unique identifying mark on one of them.

Please log your serial numbers and mark up your tools with a postcode, initials and house number. We do recover tools and it is often hard to find an owner when all we are given is "it's a green drill" ------Occasionally we get visited at the police station by lovely members of Tandridge who bring us goodies to enjoy.

We were absolutely gob smacked when a lovely resident brought us a selection of amazing cupcakes this week together with a letter of thanks.

The day before she had to call the police for a ‘thought to be’ missing child. Everything turned out ok and the child was found safe and well.
