Scoutmasters Online Registration Instructions

Units who already have an account:

Note – Each Council BSA unit has a login already. If your unit has registered for Merit Badge College in the past, it is the same account. If you do not have that login, please contact Jeanine Kinsey for assistance.

Go to https://southfl.tentaroo.com and log in.

Non-South Florida Council BSA Units without an account:

1. Go to https://southfl.tentaroo.com 2. Select Create Account 3. Select the Scoutmasters Camporee Event to create your account for Once created, new accounts can also be used for other event registrations. 4. Complete the unit information and Create your username and password 5. Check your email for the confirmation email. The email comes from South Florida Council – Cliff Freiwald and the subject is “South Florida Council - Please verify your new account” 6. Click on the Activate Account link in the email. 7. Close your browser and then go back to https://southfl.tentaroo.com and log in. 8. Follow the instructions below to Register for the Event

Non- units and families who do not have an account yet: Note – Each family/unit can have a single login. If your email address is already in use with another account, you will not be able to use it to create a new account.

1. Go to https://southfl.tentaroo.com 2. Select Create Account 3. Select the Scoutmasters Camporee Event to create your account for Once created, new accounts can also be used for other event registrations. 4. Change the registration type from “Unit” to “Individual / Family” 5. Name: For Other Youth Groups - Enter your organization as the first name and your unit number as the last name. For Families – Use the parent/adult first name and last name 6. Create your username and password 7. Check your email for the confirmation email. The email comes from South Florida Council – Cliff Freiwald and the subject is “South Florida Council - Please verify your new account” 8. Click on the Activate Account link in the email. 9. Close your browser and then go back to https://southfl.tentaroo.com and log in. 10. Follow the instructions below to Register for the Event

Register for an Event:

1. Once logged in, click “Go To Events” 2. Select Scoutmasters Camporee from the available list 3. Select the event itself from the next page 4. Click Register for Event

Campsite Selection

1. You must add 1 of the “Primary” unit leader types in order to reserve a campsite. Select the correct one for your unit type. Each site is for one unit, and units must camp in the age appropriate site (T sites are for Scouts BSA Troops, Crews, Ships and 6th-12th Grade non-BSA groups; P sites are for Cub Packs and K-5th Grade Non-BSA groups) 2. You may also select the number of youth and adults you plan to bring. DO NOT OVER ESTIMATE HERE! You will not have to pay for them today, but you are guaranteeing this number will be coming. 3. Scroll to the bottom and add your Other Unit Designation if not BSA, and then click “Next” 4. Scroll to the bottom and click “Complete” You are not checking out yet. 5. You must add the name and details for the Primary Leader before you can select your site. Scroll down to that Participant Type and you will see “Add Participant” instead of “Add Spots” – click that button. 5. If this is the first time you are registering someone, select New Adult from the top tabs. Complete all required fields and then click “Next”. 6. If you have registered before, select the person’s name from the Adult blocks, verify the details and click “Next.” 7. Click the radio button next to the available Primary Leader spot and then click “Next.” Add your campsite(s) by clicking Add Option under the correct site number(s). If you want a Portalet now, you can add it and pay for it, or come back later to add it. Units who had a site last year have until October 15th to reserve the same space (new site numbers apply to ALL campsites for 2020). If your site does not exist in the same age area, you may select one of the new sites in T1-T27 before October 15th. On October 16th, all sites will be available on a “first come, first served” basis without exception. Please review the new Site Map and the Site List available at www.smcc.us BEFORE you select a camp site. 8. When you are done selecting your sites, scroll to the bottom and click “Next.” 9. To complete your registration and reserve your site, you must scroll to the bottom and click “Complete” AND then “Checkout” on the next screen. You must pay the $20 site fee per site plus portalets if selected. All other fees are due by January 31st to guarantee the Early pricing. After that the prices go up.

Adding Participants and other options later

1. Log in with the same account you reserved the campsite 2. Once logged in, click “Go To Events” 3. Select Scoutmasters Camporee from the available list 4. Select the event itself from the next page 5. Click “Manage Spots” below the Shopping Cart summary 6. Click the plus sign to add the number of participants of each type 7. When you have added the correct quantity, click “Next” at the bottom of the screen. 8. You can check out without adding any of the names for the additional participants, just pay the total due, and then complete the physical Unit Roster. If you add the names of all your youth and adults before February 12th, you will not need to provide a separate roster to the staff. 9. You can come back as often as needed to add more participants as long as you do so before February 12th. Early pricing ends on January 31st and all unpaid participants costs will automatically go up at that time.

Additional options will be available later, including event sign up and volunteer sign up. Emails with additional instructions will be sent out when those are ready.
