Riding We have had another very successful year. Our biggest success was the Show Jumping National School Championships at Hickstead, winning for the first time in 17 years with an outstanding clear win and all riders jumping double clear.

Several riders qualified and competed for the British Eventing Jumping and Style finals, competing against both adults and professionals. It was a fantastic start to the eventing season with Bronte Monks and Eve Hodder in the top ten, who also qualified for the regional finals later in the season.

Millfield Prep is becoming well-established in the British Eventing calendar for hosting the BE competition. We had a record number of pupils competing with some super results.

Our riders have done amazingly at Hickstead this year with Bronte Monks coming 4th 01 individually and Marina Jolliffe 7th individually.

Many of our younger riders have also had great success with good placing competing in Dressage and Show jumping. Our young riders are continuing to go from strength to strength and the team have brought home some well-deserved wins.

Sailing The sailing season got off to a great start in the autumn, with plenty of pupils keen to get on the water. Chew Valley Lake continues to be an excellent base to train. We had more newcomers to the sport, who learnt very quickly. The summer term started with some race training and our second annual Prep Schools' Regatta, which was well attended despite the tempestuous weather conditions. Our sailors were some of just a handful that managed not to capsize.

In between more training on the lake, we took some sailors to the IAPS Sailing Regatta, and with blue skies and a perfect breeze we managed mid-fleet results of 18th and 23rd of 37 boats.

01 02 Squash It was a successful year for squash, with our clubs brimming with keen, aspiring players. We saw a record number of entries into the National IAPS competition, a two-day event hosted at Millfield 04 with a gruelling amount of matches to be played at a very high standard. A number of the Millfield Prep competitors progressed through to the latter stages of the competition, but unfortunately came unstuck against very good opponents. Callum Harvey did excellently, winning the U13 Plate competition. A very tough section meant Sebastian Sawrey-Cookson was playing some of the best players in the country.

The squash team have played against Hazlegrove and Wycliffe Schools at both U11 and U13 level, and competitively, against Millfield squash teams at U14 level.
