Lean Manufacturing and Productivity Enhancement Model for : Successful Implementation Stories of Several Pakistani Automotive Companies Technological advancements have brought revolutionary changes in past few decades. New inventions have made the need more eminent to revise and upgrade the frequently used methodologies used in various fields. Complete world has become a common market, anyone from anywhere, can come into the field of competition and productivity is generally used as measure of competiveness. In order to remain competitive in the global market companies and firms are striving for higher productivity standards. This productivity enhancement model has resulted in cost reduction of the manufacturing units like , Master Motors, Master Procon, Ravi Autos and many other automotive companies of Pakistan. Millions of Rs per month have been successfully saved by these companies by implementation of low cost intensive techniques. These implementation has also resulted in ensuring high efficiency and effectiveness of the plant and equipment. World top ranking organizations like , Ford, Daimler-, and Mercedes Benz have also employed strategies like integrated cost leadership and differentiation to attain competitive advantage. In the present times going toward more exports is becoming essential for Pakistani companies for their survival especially in Post CPEC scenario. In order to compete in the global market Pakistani companies have to become more competitive by enhancing their productivity and ultimately achieving cost reduction. The session is designed to assist and educate local industry regarding implementation of latest manufacturing techniques for their productivity enhancement and adopting lean manufacturing using 5 S Techniques.
