Most of us can only dream but we enjoyed the tour never the less. Although we did not make any “U-turns”, we did make a trip to Pio’s restaurant in St. Charles and were able to have a private room and a great meal. We thank Rich Sutorius for his work on this late winter event.

he Gateway Chapter of the Sudden TTT Cardiac Arrest Associa- tion held their annual Trivia Night fundraiser on February 22nd. Many of our members were in attendance and had their trivia “IQ” tested. Some did well, others, not so much. Never the less, we had a great time competing against the trivia pros and were glad that we were able to contribute. Some of our mem- bers and family were able to go home with a raffle basket or an attendance prize. SCAA advocates for more education about sudden cardiac arrest and the need to get more automated external defibrillators (AEDs) into pub- lic places. Linda Dickson, daughter of board member, Dan Kelly, was instrumental in putting on this fundraiser. Our club pur- chased two tables and our mem- bers paid for their s e ats . D o n n a Layton crafted one of her fa- mous raffle baskets and our club added a $25 gift certifi- cate to top it off. The basket netted $75 for the SCAA. Dan Kelly decorated our tables with photos of members cars and trucks and was responsible for getting our club involved on this very worthwhile project.
