DELVAUX OPENS FLAGSHIP IN K11 IN

Delvaux, the oldest luxury leather goods house in the world, opens a new flagship in Hong Kong in the brand new K11 Mall, a luxurious retail and cultural destination in Kowloon. Located in Victoria Dockside, Hong Kong’s recently regenerated harbour area, it is in the heart of a stunning waterfront complex that combines heritage and design.

As with all other Delvaux boutiques, from , and to New York, and Beijing, this space is unique. Its singular character comes from mixing local traditions with a contemporary aesthetic.

For this exceptional location, Delvaux Chairman and CEO Jean-Marc Loubier, in collaboration with the Milanese architectural studio Vudafieri Saverino Partners, have created a new, unique boutique approach allowing encounters to be made, ideas to be shared and advice exchanged.

Delvaux continues to refer to art and heritage, especially honouring its Belgian roots. The façade of the flagship boutique has taken inspiration from a Brussels masterpiece of architecture, the Palais Stoclet, designed by the world-renowned Josef Hoffmann in 1905. The distinctive lines and concrete blocks of Stoclet are echoed in the graphic geometry and shaded colouring of the boutique’s façade, making it both a vibrant and inviting space.

Unique in the world of leather goods, the boutique provides an immersive experience for guests to fully engage with Delvaux’s world of creativity and exceptional craftsmanship. The experience begins from the first moment visitors step inside the boutique. A majestic arch of handbags welcomes clients inside to discover a world of leather bags. This ‘bag bar’, a one-of-a-kind, convivial and dynamic meeting point provides a sociable space for sharing and chatting, a focal point for exchanging ideas on colours, textures and styles. Here, clients can spend time together while also customising their leather purchases with hot stamping and special calligraphy techniques

In celebration of this opening, Delvaux will present “Les Miniatures Hong Kong”. Three mini Brillant charms, they are hand-made by master craftsmen using artisanal savoir-faire and highly sophisticated techniques such as screen printing, embossing and UV precision silk- screening. Illustrating la Maison’s sense of humour and creativity, ‘Panda’, ‘Junk’ and ‘Tea Pot’ pay homage to the vivacity of Hong Kong. The exclusive Miniatures Hong Kong Collection will be available in Delvaux’s new K11 boutique from August 2019.
