What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! Nope, not this time, as the Thanks, Dave Heralds continued to improve with an overall 2017 score of 2,590 points 2017 or an 86.3 vs. an overall 2015 score of 2,576 or an 85.9. Oh how difficult Oct 28 — Fall Convention (2018 prelims) - Orlando those 14 new points were as the chorus competition was just plain fierce. Yes, we are tied Nov 12 — St. Paul UMC for eleventh overall but we sure are proud of what we put Dec 9 — Christmas Shows - USF on stage. Again, as reference, this is the highest score the Dec 10 — Christmas Show - Palladium Heralds have ever achieved.

PLUS 2018 Jan — Installation Banquet MAIN STREET IS the Gold Medal Quartet Mar 9 thru 11 —Spring Convention (trophy sing off) Champion!!!! What an electrifying moment when in the call-off, "and now your 2017 quartet champion Jun — Encore '18 is MAIN STREET.” Absolute bedlam, goose-bumps, the Jul 1 thru 8 — International Convention - Orlando entire audience on its feet in full-throated roar, as Tony, Oct 26-29 — Fall Convention - Orlando Myron, Mike and Roger received their trophies. I personally Dec — Christmas Shows have seen Tony receive his four gold medals, Roger his two, and Mike and Myron receiving their first. This quartet contest was just the best and MAIN STREET is and has been special to the Heralds. They have sung on many of our shows and supported the Heralds with their outstanding performances. Just love these guys. So, what’s next? We are taking a brief two-week rest, but then it is back to work and fun. We will be adding a couple of new contest songs and these will be our new set for the 2018 International Preliminaries in Orlando and performed this coming October. What is so satisfying with preparing new material is that it gives Tony a chance to improve our performance skills and that is why it is fun to be a Herald. There is always something new to learn, every week, every rehearsal, and always fun. This totally follows our mission, to continuously improve. As we have entered the second half of the year, we now have to focus on the business of barbershop. This entails building for our future as we perform for our patrons in our Christmas series at the USF and Palladium Theaters with everyone buying and most importantly selling tickets.
