Hard-hitting All Black Peter Whiting was a consistent member of the New Zealand squad in the early 70s. He played 56 matches for the All Blacks including 20 internationals between 1971 and 1976. Although a surgeon helped the lock manage his painful back injury, he was forced to retire from international rugby aged 30. Share.
