PSALMS 95 Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with mu- sic and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel be- fore the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pas- ture, the flock under his care. Today, if only you would hear his voice, “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Merib- ah, as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness, where your ancestors test- ed me; they tried me, though they had seen what I did. For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’ So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’” NIV Lyrics

Now there’s no stopping, what you have started Till it is com - plete PRE-CHORUS

Recorded live at Elevation Church’s Ballantyne lo- cation in March 2018, Hallelujah Here Below is Eleva- tion Worship’s newest album. “Echo” is the third of four singles to release before the full album release in September. “I love the fun vibe of ‘Echo,’” says Chris Brown of Elevation Worship. “And I feel like magic happened when Tauren put his vocal on it. It’s one of my fa- vorites on this album.” Tauren Wells says that, “Echo is one of those songs that brings so much energy and joy into a room. I can’t wait to see how it connects with churches and people all over the world.” There are times in our lives when we feel distant from the Lord. We may be hurting and broken, and in need of God’s presence and power. We need him to shine his light into our dark moments. We sing In every season You keep repeating promis- es to me. Now there’s no stopping what You have started until it is complete. It’s a promise that “God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (Philippians 1:6). God is our refuge, our strength, and our salvation. He is sim- ply enough and He has the last word on our lives. When my mind says I’m not good enough, God, You’re enough for me. That is the motivation for causing us to make God’s glory resound under this roof, in our homes, and in our community. From the top of our heads to the tips of our toes, we echo his praises out from our soul. His love is holding on and it won’t let go! 26 Night of Worship September 6, 2019

Who You Say I Am No Longer Slaves Your Grace Still Amazes Me Surrounded The Heart of Worship Moving Forward Ain’t No Grave Waiting Here for You From the Inside Out King of Glory Echo

3 Who You Say I Am Ben Feilding shares: “The theme, “Who You Say I Am”, is from John 8, which is, you will know, the truth and the truth will set you free. Jesus says, ‘who the son sets free, is free indeed.’ It’s a real declara- tion of identity. In John 8, the Scripture this song is based on, talks about how a slave has no place in the family. But, once we’ve been brought into the family, we have this identity as part of God’s family and an identity of freedom. Our identity resides in knowing ourselves in Christ and living within the stability of knowing we are who God says we are.” “Who the Son sets free is free indeed” is a Scrip- ture about freedom and identity. You are a child of God. That can never be threatened or taken from you. As a believer, the truth of this song changes the way I live out my faith. We were passionate to give the church a song that says that God is for them and He thinks the world of them. While everything around you and about you changes, this is the one thing about yourself that will stay constant. You are chosen by a God who loves you deeply. He is a God who is for you and is never against you. He is a God who has plans for you to prosper. He is a God who wants a relationship with you. He is a God who will never let you down. The theme of the song is, “I am chosen, not forsak- en, I am who You say I am.” God has chosen us and the fact that we are in a position where we know God and be reconciled to Him. The challenge of the song is the idea that we have been set right because of the comprehensive work of Jesus. You can stand before Him as chosen, and not forsaken. You haven’t been left on your own. He is running towards us. 4 Lyrics

The Lord, strong and mighty; the Lord, in- vincible in battle.” He is our King who goes before us in whatever battles we are facing. One day the Bible says that “at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.” That about covers it. “Every tongue will declare that Jesus Christ is Lord.” If that is true, we sing in this song So let’s start right now, why would we wait? We ask the King of glory, fill this place. Know that he is here already. He is Jehovah Shammah, “The God who is there.” The presence of God is not limited to a building, or a particular space, but is available to all who love and obey him. May He permeate our wor- ship today and our hearts and minds this week. He is the King of healing, King of my peace, King of my joy, King of power, King of glory. And that gives us reason to sing Hallelujah and dance in His presence! 24 Lyrics

Father's house there's a place for me I'm a child of God, Yes I am In my Father's house there's a place for me I'm a child of God, Yes I am 5 No Longer Slaves

It’s mind-blowing to think that we can be free in a physical sense, yet in bondage to fear. The theme of the song echoes Galatians 5:1, which says “For free- dom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” One of the most compelling parts of the song is the line “You split the sea so I could walk right through it.” This is clearly an allusion to God split- ting the Red Sea to help the Israelites on their ex- odus from Egypt—and out of slavery. By including this allusion, the song makes the suggestion that if God can do that for the Israelites, surely he can free us from our bondage to addictions, fears, unbelief, you name it. Because of Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross, not only are we free from the bondage of fear (among other things), we are also now considered God’s children. “For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.” (Galatians 3:26) As you listen to the Helser’s song “No Longer Slaves,” let it remind you of God’s unconditional love and unmatched ability to free us from anything en- slaving us. 6 Lyrics

VERSE 1 A thousand times I’ve failed, still Your mercy re - mains And should I stumble again, I’m caught in Your grace Ever - lasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never - ending, Your glory goes be - yond all fame VERSE 2 Your will a - bove all else, my purpose re - mains The art of losing myself in bringing You praise Ever - lasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never - ending, Your glory goes be - yond all fame PRE-CHORUS My heart and my soul, I give You con - trol Consume me from the inside out Lord Let justice and praise become my em - brace To love You from the inside out CHORUS Ever - lasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never - ending, Your glory goes be - yond all fame And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise From the inside out, Lord my soul cries out PRE-CHORUS My heart and my soul, I give You con - trol Consume me from the inside out Lord Let justice and praise become my em - brace To love You from the inside out CHORUS (2X) Ever - lasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never - ending, Your glory goes be - yond all fame And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise From the inside out, Lord my soul cries out 23 From the Inside Out The verses talk about how wretched we are. We have failed “a thousand times” meaning that all we do is fail God. Even if we try to please God, it says in Isaiah 64:6 “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags.” There is nothing in our power that we could do to compare with God. It’s reassuring to know that despite all our flaws and failures if we “stumble again, still I’m caught in your [God’s] grace.” Amaz- ing. Who was the last person you knew that ac- cepted us for who we really are: failures. But God’s grace is so amazing and even though we continual to stumble and rebel against Him, we can count on His grace to forgive us. I particularly love this song because it doesn’t sim- ply focus on our weakness and our depravity but rather it provides God as our Comfort and as our Lord in our low and sorry state. It doesn’t matter if we’re weak or if we’re flawed because God is ever- lasting, His “light will shine when all else fades” and His “glory goes beyond all fame.” And our response should be a cry “to bring you [God] praise from the inside out.” What does it mean to bring God praise from the inside out? Bringing God praise from the inside out means that we first bring Him praise with our hearts. The state of our hearts is pleasing to God and is a heart full of praise towards God. But then that’s not enough. To bring God praise from the inside out means that we must be doers. Our lives must reflect that praise towards God found in our heart. The way we live, the way we talk, the way we dress, the way we act, all must bring God praise. If you are to bring praise to God from the inside out, you must not only praise God with your heart but also with your lives. I believe that bringing God praise from the inside out is the most authentic, genuine praise we can offer to God. In our broken state, we can only offer God our heart and our life. That is “inside out” praise to God. 22 Lyrics

It simultaneously ar- rests our spirit, holding our focus on God’s goodness to us, and cries out for His presence to be poured out in our lives The lyrics of this song invite us into the process of asking God for a breakthrough, from establishing a sense of expectation: The atmosphere is changing now, for the Spirit of the Lord is here. To asking God for a fresh awareness of Him: Spirit of God, fall fresh on us; we need your presence. To believing God for the impossible: A miracle can happen now, for the Spirit of the Lord is here. We live under an open heaven. If we open our hearts by faith to receive it, God will fill us with His love and allow His miracle-working power to over- flow into every area of our lives. 8 Lyrics

Isaiah 26:8: Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for You, for Your name and renown are the desire of our souls. James 1:18: He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. Here’s Matthew Henry’s commentary on James 1:18: “In this first chapter of the biblical text we have found the thrust of James’s entire letter: calling upon Christians to live with moral urgency, serious holiness and unconditional obedience to the word of God. By putting the two halves of the chapter together we also establish the context for the moral earnestness of the entire letter: complete confidence in and re- liance upon the grace of God. James is so earnest for moral purity in 1:19-27 because of the theology he has taught in 1:1-18. It is the thorough purity of God (never tempted, never tempting, never chang- ing) that calls us to holiness; it is the generous giving of God (giving wisdom without finding fault, giving the crown of life, giving every good and perfect gift, giving us birth) that moves us to holiness. Further- more, going back to the very beginning of James’s message, this pursuit of holiness is not an oppressive burden but a task of joy, because of the great worth of the goal that God’s grace has made possible. God has called Christians to become mature and com- plete, as firstfruits of all he created. This is so high a calling and so valuable an attainment that we may consider even trials along the way pure joy!” 20 Lyrics

The evidence is all a - round, that the spirit of the Lord is here 9 YOUR grace still amazes me This beautiful song reminds me of the incredible grace of Christ and the mission he has prepared for each of us as Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8-10, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." We have a wonderful story to share and a world of unreached people that desperately need to hear that message. Titus 2:11 tells us that "the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all peo- ple." Our mission is to help those who have experi- enced this redeeming love go and tell others how they can receive that redemption as well. 10 Lyrics VERSE 1 Oh shame is a prison as cruel as a grave Shame is a robber and he’s come to take my name Oh, love is my redeemer lifting me up from the ground Love is the power where my freedom song is found CHORUS There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down When I hear that trumpet sound, I’m gonna rise up out of the ground There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down VERSE 2 Fear is a liar with a smooth and velvet tongue Fear is a tyrant, he’s always telling me to run Oh, love is resurrection and love is a trumpet sound Love is my weapon, I’m gonna take my giants down CHORUS There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down When I hear that trumpet sound, I’m gonna rise up out of the ground There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down VERSE 3 There was a battle, a war between death and life And there on a tree the Lamb of God was crucified And He went on down to hell, He took back every key He rose up as a lion and He’s setting all the captives free CHORUS There ain’t no grave could hold His body down There ain’t no grave could hold His body down When He heard the trumpet sound, He rose up out of the ground There ain’t no grave could hold His body down There ain’t no grave could hold His body down BRIDGE (6X) If You walked out of the grave, I’m walkin’ too If You walked out of the grave, I’m walkin’ too 19 Ain’t No Grave This song is rooted in old-time Appalachian gos- pel music. It is a marriage of the old, with Brother Claude Ely’s original chorus and the new, a person- al testimony of overcoming fear and shame, woven into each verse. This is an anthem for ANYONE who is ready to follow Jesus and walk out of the graves in their daily life. “Ain’t No Grave” is a testimony of faith, a song for those who are ready to shake off the victim mentality and stand up in the truth of who they really are. 18 Lyrics

11 Surrounded The song represents the victory that we have over our battles before we know the earthly outcome by trusting that God is going before us and He wins. We can face our daily battles with more courage and strength because we know that whatever the outcome, based on His promise in Romans 8:28, “God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who have been called ac- cording to His purpose.” 2 Chronicles 20:17 (NIV): “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’” Psalm 3:6 (VOICE): “No longer will I fear my tens of thousands of enemies who have surrounded me!” Psalm 18:39 (NIV): “You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me.” Psalm 55:18 (NIV): “He rescues me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many op- pose me.” Psalm 139:5 (VOICE): “You have surrounded me on every side, behind me and before me, and You have placed Your hand gently on my shoulder.” 12 Lyrics VERSE 1 What a mo - ment, You have brought me to such a free - dom, I have found in You And You’re the Heal - er, who makes all things new, CHORUS I’m not going back, I’m moving a - head, here to de - clare to You, My past is over in You, all things are made new Sur - rendered my life to Christ I’m moving, moving for - ward VERSE 2 You have ris - en, with all power in Your hands, You have given me, a sec - ond chance Halle - lu - ia, halle - lu - jah, CHORUS I’m not going back, I’m moving a - head, here to de - clare to You My past is over in You, all things are made new Sur - rendered my life to Christ, I’m moving CHORUS Not going back, moving a - head, I’m here to de - clare to You, My past is over in You, all things are made new Surrendered my life to Christ I’m moving forward Said I’m moving for - ward CHORUS 2 (4x) You, make all things new, yes, You make all things new And I will fol - low You for - ward 17 Moving Forward Through the prophet Isaiah, God says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am do- ing a new thing!” (Isaiah 43:19). The apostle Paul talk- ed about “forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead” (Philippians 3:13). This worship song is a cry for a fresh start and a brand new outlook on life. When we sing “I’m not going back, I’m moving ahead, here to declare to you my past is over” we are putting a stake in the ground, committing to seek God’s face for a brighter future and a hope for to- morrow. When we sing “Such a freedom I have found in you; you’re the healer who makes all things new” we recognize the freedom God has given us in the past, present, and future. The freedom to live, love, laugh, embrace, and to be fulfilled. There are no lim- its on what is to come because a choice has been made to move forward. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Ultimately this song will be fulfilled in the new Heaven: “Behold, I make all things new.” What a day that will be! 16 Lyrics

The worship band’s musical creativity was on a high, making new and influential songs for the lo- cal church with an impact on church worship na- tionwide – even worldwide. “Yet”, recalled Redman, talking to Crosswalk’s David Schrader, “there was a dynamic missing. So the pastor did a pretty brave thing.” The pastor asked his congregation what they were bringing to God in worship, or if they were just there as consumers, soaking up the music. His point was that the band and church had lost their way in worship, and the only solution was to strip out every diversion and distraction; and that included the en- tire sound system and the worship band. Initially, Matt remembers, ‘unplugging’ just led to an embarrassing silence. But eventually the congre- gation rediscovered their own voices, singing un- accompanied, offering up heartfelt prayers and en- countering God in a fresh way. By the time they felt sufficiently ready to reintroduce the musicians and sound system, the church had found a new perspec- tive on worship: that it’s all about Jesus, and that it demands a response from the heart. Matt’s song ‘The Heart of Worship’ simply describes what occurred: When the music fades, all is stripped away, and I simply come Longing just to bring some- thing that’s of worth that will bless your heart I’m coming back to the heart of worship, and it’s all about You, Jesus Matt’s recollection of writing the song is him scribbling it quickly in his bedroom soon after the church’s journey back to its core purpose. There were no grand intentions for it to become an inter- national anthem. The words were simply his person- al response to what he was learning about worship. 14 Lyrics VERSE 1 When the music fades, all is stripped away and I simply come Longing just to bring something that’s of worth that will bless Your heart PRE-CHORUS I’ll bring You more than a song, for a song in it - self Is not what You have re - quired You search much deeper with - in, through the way things ap - pear You’re looking into my heart CHORUS I’m coming back to the heart of worship And it’s all about You, it’s all about You, Jesus I’m sorry, Lord for the thing I’ve made it When it’s all about You, it’s all about You, Je - sus VERSE 2
