KING — Mount Airy split its varsity games with West Stokes Tuesday. The Lady Bears won 64-55, but the boys lost to the Wildcats 55-46 in the nightcap. The Bears went up 16-7 in the first quarter, but the Lady Cats edged closer at 26-19 at the break. Then the Wildcats nipped one more point off the margin in the third quarter, making it 38-32. The Bears earned the win with a 26-23 final quarter. Mount Airy scored many of its points either from long range or the foul line.
