Student Instruction

This assessment activity requires you to consistently demonstrate high quality movement in Athletics activities. To do this, you will need to consider how high quality performance might look, sound, and feel. Your performance in the Athletics activity will be assessed against your selected Performance Goals (PGs).

This activity has four tasks.

Task 1

Participate in the chosen physical activity. This is an opportunity to find out what your strengths are in that Athletics activity and which skills you need to improve. Your teacher will indicate the steps you can take to improve your performance. Your teacher’s suggestions will be based on your achievement against the PGs. Use the PGs to think about how you can improve your performance. Your teacher will establish the PGs for your physical activity with you before you begin the task (refer to Resources 1 and 2).

Tasks 2 and 3

Participate in the Athletics activity on two occasions at the mid-point of the unit of work. Consider the PGs before, during, and after your participation. This will help you to see how you have improved. You can also make any changes so that you know you are working towards a quality performance.

Task 4 3

At the end of the unit of work, participate in the Athletics activity. Your performance in relation to each of the PGs will contribute towards your final achievement grade.
