OUTREACH SERVICE CHARGES

Education Staff will visit schools and other establishments with a team of small animals. Charges for the service, which are primarily to cover travelling costs, are dependent on the distance travelled and the number of people using the service. Charges are summarised in the table below. Charges do not vary with season.

Double and Treble Charges

1. Where the right of interment in a grave space was purchased at the fee appropriate to a Belfast resident, any subsequent re-opening for the interment therein of any non-resident will be charged at three times the fee appropriate to a Belfast resident at the time of burial.

2. Where the right of interment in a grave space was purchased at the fee appropriate to a non-Belfast resident, interment therein of any non-resident will be charged at twice the fee appropriate to a Belfast resident at the time of burial.

3. Should a non-Belfast resident purchase a grave for the interment of a Belfast resident, then the Belfast resident rate be applied provided proof of Belfast residency at the time of death can be provided e.g. the deceased appears on the current Electoral List.

4. Former Belfast Residents who have moved out of Belfast due to ill health into care, whether Hospital, Nursing/Residential Home or care by a relative or friend within the ten year prior to their death, may qualify for the Belfast Resident rate where proof of residency in the form of a bill/bills, or a letter from their General Practitioner is provided by the family/applicant. (Application forms may be obtained by contacting the Cemeteries/Crematorium Central Office, City Hall, Belfast BT1 5GS).

Charge for Burials and Cremations on Saturdays and Public Holidays

A surcharge of £135 (£142) will be levied on all cremations and burials taking place on Saturdays and Public Holidays.

FILMING IN PARKS/ PARKS PROPERTIES.

Due to the increasing demand from TV companies, film/movie companies, commercial film makers etc. for the use of parks properties and the fact that these firms have considerable location budgets it is essential that a fee is charged for the use of our properties for these profit making ventures.

T.V.Productions, Commercials, Small Films.

Filming up to 5 hours £100.00 (£30.00 per hour thereafter)

Feature Films.

Parks staff often required on site etc. £500.00 per day

Photography

Commercial Photography £50.00 per shoot Wedding photography No Charge with the exception of Botanic Gardens where a staff presence is required. £15.00

Wilmont House

These premises are requested on a regular basis by film companies to use as a location. £300.00 per day.

CORPORATE EVENTS IN PARKS.

The Section often receives requests from large firms to hold Corporate staff fundays, tented dinner functions etc in certain Parks. It is essential that a fee is set for the use of these Parks in order to cover staff costs etc. It is recommended that the Park Manager in conjunction with the Finance Manager set a fee depending on the size and nature of the event and the Parks resources required.
