Wow, what a day! Camp was buzzing on a bright November morning with almost 90 volunteers, including nine families from Mountain View who came to spend the weekend and build a four- station Challenge Course. We got so much done and had fun too. The kitchen crew of Karen Hopkins, Lonnie Roman, Sally Salinas and Linda Flores cooked up a hearty camp lunch for everyone. Pat Fernandez single-handedly rearranged and cleaned our decorations closets, while Janet Gregory and Pam Curtis tackled the crafts room. After a summer of campers who all like to do crafts, you can imagine that job! Meanwhile Dar Brown cleaned all the baseboards in the Great Hall, and Susie Horvath and Michele Roberts washed every window – inside and out. Karen Handley and Anne Meyers organized the library and shampooed the upstairs carpets. Tony Gai led Larry Meyers, Vikki Garrett, Cori Blasi and Silvano Gai in cleaning up the Dedication Garden and planting Karen Handley & Anne Meyers cleaned the camp library.
