Together we recognise that pregnancy, birth and being a parent is a life changing experience. Every family deserves support in overcoming challenges, and this support helps children to have the best possible start in life. Through the emotional and practical support of families with children under 4, the Volunteer Home Visiting programme can have a unique and valuable contribution to make in enabling this. More information can be found here: https://home-startessex.org.uk/family-group/ Family Groups Nursery rhymes; crafts; cooking; Tiny Sing sing-alongs, activities and school readiness. To make a referral please use the form found on our website (detailed above) Wellbeing Coordinator Lisa Pawlowski will be delivering our wellbeing groups. The groups aim to support parents’ wellbeing and mental health through providing relaxation and stress management techniques. Wellbeing Groups & Support For more information on our wellbeing support go to: https://home-startessex.org.uk/wellbeing-groups/ Dates for our next groups, running for 6 weeks are: Dads Group starting April 20th 7.45pm Mums Group starting April 21st 10am Mums Group starting April 23rd 10am. There is also a private Facebook Group for families being supported by our Wellbeing programme - www.facebook.com/groups/hsewellbeing. Lisa posts on this with Home-Start activities, motivational and wellbeing uplifting messages too. This can include ways to help ourselves with anxiety, stress etc. An excellent way to also encourage peer support throughout Essex and families to stay in touch who have joined the group should they wish. Support aims to resolve or manage conflict in ways that remove or limit the adverse impact it has on Parenting Together children and strengthen parenting skills.
