Curriculum Vitae Craig Butchart Camera Operator (Outside Broadcast, Studio and Fixed Rig) My experience began in February 2004 as a freelance camera assistant and trainee operator, working on small Outside Broadcast productions and single camera corporate shoots. After over 3 years in the same genres of work, I took a staff role within a growing Outside Broadcast Facilities company to move further towards working within the biggest sport, music and events within the country. Over the 5 years, I worked my way to become a very versatile staff member, enabling me to work on some very prestigious live multicamera contracts. My roles included, being responsible for loading the trucks, prepping kit and maintenance at base. On site I would rig the cameras, guarantee the job and also operate on nearly all contracts. The need for new challenges and experiences brought me to return to freelancing in June 2012. I am currently a regular crewmember on top live football for SKY, BT & ITV, including most recently the EURO 2016 tournament. I have also worked on multiple ‘Fixed Rig’ observational documentaries for the Channel 5, CH4 and RTE Ireland. Other notable jobs include, The Aberfan 50th Memorial Concert, The Rugby World Cup 2015, ATP Tennis and the Europro Golf Tour. One of my proudest achievements so far is taking up my first Directing role on award winning First Dates Ireland for RTE2. Another memorable time was working on ITV’s Release the Hounds horror game show, which won an RTS award in December 2015 for Multi camera Work. Recent Credits
