An interview with acclaimed singer- Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer is scheduled to air on NPR‟s "All Things Considered" today. The two sisters, who recently wrapped up their first-ever tour together, will also perform on the show.

“The Sissy Christmas Hour,” a one-hour special featuring intimate acoustic performances by Lynne and Moorer, premieres on SIRIUS XM Outlaw Country (Sirius 63, XM 12) on Saturday, December 18, at 5:00 p.m. ET. It will be rebroadcast on Sunday, 12/19, 9:00 p.m. ET; Tuesday, 12/21, 7:00 p.m. ET; Thursday, 12/23, 12 a.m. ET and Friday, 12/24, 10:00 a.m. ET.

Parade Magazine called Lynne’s latest CD, Merry Christmas, “an instant classic” while People Magazine gave it 3 ½ stars, noting: “She could even seduce Saint Nick with her sultry delivery, but Lynne also shows a playful side on this charmingly retro collection.” The Los Angeles Times praised its “touchingly spare, intimate performances” in a 3 ½ star review while the San Francisco Chronicle said: “This low-key Christmas stays true to her distinct brand of late-night Americana.‟"

In addition to recording some of her favorite holiday standards, the GRAMMY® winner also penned two originals for the collection: “Xmas,” which Associated Press observed is “like a slow burn, gaining strength and ferocity that evokes not just Dusty Springfield but Nina Simone in its delivery,” and “Ain’t Nothin’ Like Christmas,” which The New York Times said “wouldn‟t have sounded out of place on an Elvis Christmas album." Merry Christmas and the acclaimed Tears, Lies And Alibis were Lynne’s first two releases on the independent label she founded, EVERSO RECORDS, which is distributed through Fontana. Released in April 2010, Tears, Lies And Alibis debuted at No. 16 on Billboard’s Top Independent chart and was a Top 10 hit at Americana radio. It ranks at #35 on the list of Top 100 Americana Albums of the Year.

"Shelby Lynne can do it all, and she proves it on „Tears, Lies and Alibis‟...her strongest album in a decade," said Newsday, awarding it an A-. “Keeping it raw, the heartache goes down deep on songs like the soulful standout „Alibi,‟” said People Magazine in a 3 ½ star review while The Washington Post noted: “It's all „unfancy‟ music and powerful vocals, telling tales of universal heartache, joy and wonderment.” “One of the greatest voices of her generation...she‟s, again, in rare form,” said The Aquarian Weekly. The New York Daily News gave the album four stars and called it “as unwavering as a stare...Lynne has written some of the most graceful and aching melodies of her career.” “Shelby Lynne makes you woozy, and you can't help it. We prefer to think of her as indie as heck, as resolutely so as the band hiding away in the basement, making music it loves away from the prying eyes of The Man,” said the Chicago Tribune. “The forearms have sinew, the voice is backed by steel and Lynne is in full control. Of everything.”

At 18, Lynne’s demos landed her an appearance on TNN‟s Nashville Now series, which led to a Top 50 duet ("If I Could Bottle This Up") with George Jones and a record deal. On the strength of 2000‟s , she won the GRAMMY for Best New Artist. Love, Shelby was released in 2001, followed by a pair of intimate, self-produced albums – Identity Crisis (2003) and (2005). She made her acting debut in 2005, playing 's mother in the Fox Searchlight motion picture Walk the Line. Just a Little Lovin’, her tribute to Dusty Springfield, was released in 2008.
