Generous Visitations cheque from Southwell Minster A cheque has been received from Southwell Minster for £2,191.60 in respect of the collections taken at Archdeacons Visitations 18th and 23rd May, including gift aid tax, which is to be earmarked for the Archdeacons Discretionary Fund. Summer ordinations of deacons and priests in Southwell Minster he picture-postcard setting of Southwell Minster on a Tbeautiful summer’s day was the backdrop for the ordination services of new priests on Saturday 1st July and deacons on Sunday 2nd July.

Eleven deacons and nine priests were ordained into the Church of England by the Bishop of Southwell & Nottingham, the Right Reverend Paul Williams, and both services were packed with the families and friends of those celebrating their special day.
