ABOUT THE EVENT

WHAT For the eighth time, the NASCAR Series stops at Mid- Course for the B&L Transport 170 on Saturday, June 5th. The future stars of NASCAR will battle fender-to-fender on track during NASCAR’s only national series stop in Ohio. This is the third of seven road courses on the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule. The ARCA Series returns to Mid-Ohio for the first time since 1965 as the Friday, June 4th headliner in the . Additional race weekend highlights include a doubleheader for the high-flying SUPER Trucks, taking on the asphalt, jumps and air during its thrilling Mid-Ohio return. The Yokohama Drivers Cup USA makes its first visit to Mid-Ohio in this all racing series with races both days. Six races in total will take the green flag across the two-day event.

THE RACING SERIES

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is a championship organized by NASCAR. It is promoted as NASCAR's "" circuit, and is considered a proving ground for drivers who wish to step up to the organization's top level circuit, the NASCAR Cup Series. Xfinity Series events are frequently held as a support race on the day prior to a Cup Series event scheduled for that weekend, but the stand-alone weekend at Mid-Ohio has it as the featured event as NASCAR’s only national series stop in Ohio. The cars have to be a minimum weight of 3,400 lbs. including the driver and are steel tube frame with safety cage, 5800 cc pushrod V8 engines with carburetion using 98 octane unleaded gasoline and producing 650-700 hp, 4-speed manual transmission, fitted with slick or rain Goodyear tires depending on the conditions. The Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) was founded by John and Mildred Marcum in 1953 and acquired by NASCAR in April 2018. The ARCA Menards Series, now in its 69th season, will sanction the former NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West in 2021 with the series being rebranded as the ARCA Menards Series East and West. ARCA will continue to sanction weekly races at and as well as with two branded tours, the ARCA/CRA Super Series and the ARCA Midwest Tour.

SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks return to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course after making its last appearance in 2019 during the NASCAR Xfinity Series event. This will be a fan favorite again and add to the thrills of the on track action. Created by former INDYCAR and NASCAR driver , these identically-prepared, high-flying trucks will race across four jumps, power down the straightaways and slide through the turns. The Yokohama Drivers Cup USA is an all Porsche series operated by Competent racing at eight of the most iconic tracks in the U.S. including Mid-Ohio. The 2021 race season will provide opportunities to take cars to the track that include the following Platforms and Classes: .2 GT3 Cup cars, (Platinum) and (Platinum Masters), both classes have ABS option; Porsche 991.1 GT3 Cup cars, (Gold); Porsche 982 Cayman GT4 Clubsport – SRO and Comp cars, (Silver); GT4 Clubsport – Trophy and MR cars, (Bronze); and Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport cars, (Sapphire). Also included for 2021 will be the 997.2, 997.1 and 996 Cup cars, (GT Cup).

TICKETS

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course offers an exceptional family value. Children 12 and under are always admitted FREE to Mid-Ohio when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Free parking is available. General admission is $60 for the weekend, and grandstand seating is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $10 additional each when purchased at the gate.
