FACT SHEET / Event Overview & History FACT SHEET / Event Overview & History ABOUT THE EVENT WHAT For the eighth time, the NASCAR Xfinity Series stops at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the B&L Transport 170 on Saturday, June 5th. The future stars of NASCAR will battle fender-to-fender on track during NASCAR’s only national series stop in Ohio. This is the third of seven road courses on the NASCAR Xfinity Series season schedule. The ARCA Menards Series returns to Mid-Ohio for the first time since 1965 as the Friday, June 4th headliner in the Dawn 150. Additional race weekend highlights include a doubleheader for the high-flying SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks, taking on the asphalt, jumps and air during its thrilling Mid-Ohio return. The Yokohama Drivers Cup USA makes its first visit to Mid-Ohio in this all Porsche racing series with races both days. Six races in total will take the green flag across the two-day event. LAST ARCA July 25, 1965 RACE AT Winner: Jack Bowsher (Springfield, Ohio) in a 19-car field driving a 1965 Ford MID-OHIO: Time of Race: 3:34:19 Average Speed: 70.55 MPH Completed 105 laps around the 2.4-mile road course (252 miles) Pole Position: Homer Newland, at 1:57.1 with an average speed of mph driving a 1965 Plymouth THE RACING SERIES The NASCAR Xfinity Series is a stock car racing championship organized by NASCAR. It is promoted as NASCAR's "minor league" circuit, and is considered a proving ground for drivers who wish to step up to the organization's top level circuit, the NASCAR Cup Series. Xfinity Series events are frequently held as a support race on the day prior to a Cup Series event scheduled for that weekend, but the stand-alone weekend at Mid-Ohio has it as the featured event as NASCAR’s only national series stop in Ohio. The cars have to be a minimum weight of 3,400 lbs. including the driver and are steel tube frame with safety cage, 5800 cc pushrod V8 engines with carburetion using 98 octane Sunoco unleaded gasoline and producing 650-700 hp, 4-speed manual transmission, fitted with slick or rain Goodyear tires depending on the conditions. For further information, visit nascar.com. 2 The Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) was founded by John and Mildred Marcum in 1953 and acquired by NASCAR in April 2018. The ARCA Menards Series, now in its 69th season, will sanction the former NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West in 2021 with the series being rebranded as the ARCA Menards Series East and West. ARCA will continue to sanction weekly races at Toledo Speedway and Flat Rock Speedway as well as with two branded late model tours, the ARCA/CRA Super Series and the ARCA Midwest Tour. SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks return to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course after making its last appearance in 2019 during the NASCAR Xfinity Series event. This will be a fan favorite again and add to the thrills of the on track action. Created by former INDYCAR and NASCAR driver Robby Gordon, these identically-prepared, high-flying trucks will race across four jumps, power down the straightaways and slide through the turns. The Yokohama Drivers Cup USA is an all Porsche series operated by Competent Motorsport racing at eight of the most iconic tracks in the U.S. including Mid-Ohio. The 2021 race season will provide opportunities to take cars to the track that include the following Platforms and Classes: Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup cars, (Platinum) and (Platinum Masters), both classes have ABS option; Porsche 991.1 GT3 Cup cars, (Gold); Porsche 982 Cayman GT4 Clubsport – SRO and Comp cars, (Silver); Porsche 981 GT4 Clubsport – Trophy and MR cars, (Bronze); and Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport cars, (Sapphire). Also included for 2021 will be the 997.2, 997.1 and 996 Cup cars, (GT Cup). TICKETS Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course offers an exceptional family value. Children 12 and under are always admitted FREE to Mid-Ohio when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Free parking is available. General admission is $60 for the weekend, and grandstand seating is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $10 additional each when purchased at the gate. (21) No. 8 COMFORT REVOLUTION/Big Machine Records Chevrolet (Karam) Kimball has Career-Best Finish at Indianapolis 500 INDIANAPOLIS (May 25, 2015) – Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing (NNCGR) driver Charlie Kimball finished third at the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in his career-best finish on the oval. Kimball and the No. 83 Levemir® FlexTouch® Chevrolet started in the middle of Row 5 for the 200-lap race. The field saw an early yellow on the first lap for a multi-car incident in Turn 1 involving teammate Sage Karam. With extensive clean-up, the race would not see a green lap until the restart on Lap 12. By Lap 27 Kimball had advanced three spots up to 11th until pitting for the No. 83’s first stop of the race on Lap 37. The No. 83 had advanced to eighth by Lap 46 and made two more passes for sixth by Lap 60. The second yellow of the day came on Lap 64 and NNCGR brought the No. 83 in for the second stop of the day on Lap 65 under yellow for fuel and tires. Over the next 10 laps, Kimball would move from sixth to the third position until pitting again on Lap 100 for fuel and tires.

(Saturday, June 30, 2012) – Sam Hornish Jr. continued his string of rock-solid finishes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He finished sixth in Friday night’s Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway. The driver of the No. 12 Wurth Dodge Challenger posted his eighth top-10 finish and third consecutive. He remains fourth in the series championship standings, 33 points behind leader Austin Dillon. “That’s the thing that you’ve got to do; you’ve got to be consistent,” Hornish said. “We need to keep being smart and doing the things that we’re doing. We’re chipping away at it. We’d love to do it all in about two races and be leading the points but it’s not going to happen that way. We just need to be smart about what we do.” Brad Keselowski overcame the loss of track position early in the race to finish seventh, his eighth top-10 finish in 11 starts this season. Keselowski was running third when he pitted during the first caution of the race on lap 26. The crew had an issue with the right-front during the stop plus receiving a penalty for pitting outside the pit box and a tire violation. Keselowski restarted 29th but was able to work his way back onto the top five by lap 130.

The 2021 Corporate Partners and Participating Manufacturers Contingency Program is the Series Prize Money and Decal Program, the contingency program which allows sponsors to support the drivers, team members, and car owners with per race and year end awards. The 2021 Corporate Partners and Participating Manufacturers Contingency Program rewards teams and drivers for displaying sponsor decals, and for utilizing sponsor products and services. Sponsor representation includes display of decal, and presence in victory lane, plus the opportunity to integrate components into the core of the sport. All Posted Awards and Point Fund earnings won by any team member (driver, crew chief, etc.) shall be paid by ARCA (or Sponsoring Entity), to the registered/entered team owner via ACH transfer of funds. Any participant earning points or winning specific awards as a team member for more than one team/owner in a single season shall have all awards payable to team owner(s) based on the number of race points/awards earned per team. The team owner, and not ARCA, shall be solely responsible for the distribution of such Posted Awards to the respective team member.
