It was the seventh longest consecutive scoreless innings streak in program history. - Kirby’s seven shutouts are tied for the third most in a single season by a Lady Flame in program history and the most since Julia DiMartino tossed a program-record 10 shutouts in 2018. - Megan Johnson appeared exclusively as a starting pitcher in 2021. Two-time Olympic Gold medalist, Dr. Dot Richardson has led the Liberty softball pro- gram to new heights. During the 2018 season, Richardson’s Lady Flames won a program-record 49 games (49-14), taking a 19-game winning streak into the NCAA Columbia Regional Final. She led the team to its first-ever NCAA Regional Final appearance, being named Big South and VaSID State Coach of the Year. The Lady Flames then went 40-22 in 2019, winning the Dr. Dot Richardson NISC Regional Round.
