Dress Code

For safety reasons dancers are Cover-ups should be worn to and not permitted to wear jewelry from the studio, however they must in class. be removed upon request.

Why does Dance/10 require a dress code? Our dress code is designed so faculty can see the dancer’s body lines, including posture, arms, legs and feet. Dancers will get the most out of their classes when they follow the dress code.

Do students need to wear dress code? Students are required to wear dance attire for all classes.

How should hair be styled for class? Hair should be pulled back, completely out of the students face. Buns are required for ballet classes.

What shoes are needed for class? The shoes worn in class should be appropriate to the style of class. No street shoes are allowed in the dance studio. Each class has specific requirements. Please see the following pages for additional information.

Where can I purchase items needed for class? Dance/10 has an in-house dancewear boutique called The store is open during class hours. We are a Revolution Dancewear authorized retailer and we carry high quality shoes, tights, leotards, and other dancewear items below the cost of retail prices.

Get Ready for Class

Acrobatics Tights Tights are not required for Hair class. Dacners are welcome to Hair neatly and securely pulled wear footless or stirrup tights, back out of dancer’s face. if desired. Ponytail is acceptable.
