Information about the ACUHO-I / APPA Conference Tech Campus Visit

The tour of ’s East Campus Housing area will begin at the North Ave. Apartments where groups will divide off and tour the following areas: • North Ave Apartments – 1996 Summer Olympics era 13 level high rise apartment complex with 1,996 beds, a dining hall, and various amenities. • – 1928 construction Gothic dining hall with most recent major historic renovation in 2001. • Glenn & Towers Res Halls, two 1947 era dorms, 130K+ GSF combined, 2015 major renovation and common area new construction addition. • Bobby Dodd Football Stadium, ~55,000 seat outdoor stadium, 1925 original construction with most recent renovation in 2003. The natural turf athletic field is watered with reclaimed storm water and ground water reclamation systems. • Evans, Lettie Pate Whitehead Administration “Tech Tower” – 1888 original construction administration building currently under major renovation. • Bookstore – Barnes and Noble on 5th Street in the revitalized Midtown area of .

The tour will end at North Ave Apartments “Old Gold and White Room” for a brief discussion and presentation from Georgia Tech Housing.

Time: Bus to arrive at Georgia Tech North Ave. Apartments: 9:30am Bus departs: 2:00pm

Lunch Lunch options in the area include the iconic and historic “Varsity” fast food restaurant with an estimated $7-10 cost. There are several urban street level dining venues on 5th Street adjacent to the Georgia Tech bookstore. On-campus dining options at Brittain and North Ave Dining are $11.94 each for the all-you- can-eat buffet. This will be at a cost to the participant.

Information about the Georgia Institute of Technology The Georgia Institute of Technology main campus is located in , Georgia.
