Last year marked the 5th Anniversary of the 5K Spirit Run and the Holy Spirit community stayed strong as we took the race virtual! Even though we were not able to gather as a group, the money from race registra ons, generous dona ons, and business sponsors made it a successful fund‐raiser. The money we raise each year helps financially support our Resource Program. Our Resource Team provides academic support for students with mild to moderate learning disabili es, Dyslexia, ADHD, Au sm, Intellectual disabili es, and other special needs. Holy Spirit School has been a leader in inclusive educa on in our diocese for many years.
This year, due to the uncertainty of COVID restric ons, we are going to hold a Hybrid 5K Spirit Run on May 15th, at Holy Spirit School. We will have an in‐person 5K route star ng at Holy Spirit School and you will also be able to par cipate virtually. Please consider making a dona on, or becoming a business sponsor. The Holy Spirit Young Adult Fire has an all‐day City Hike Strengthen those who are discouraged; comfort those th on May 15 , exploring Old Town Alexandria beginning who are sorrowful; and show those who are already with Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary's, hopping in and out filled with radiant joy, how to let their love overflow of coffee, crepe, and chocolate shops along the way, and into the lives of all whom they encounter.
