Trust Fund Of $200,000 AssignedTo S'western Announcement was made in March that Southwestern is to be the beneficiarv of a trust fund valued at more than $ZOO,OOO. Mrs. Charles R. Glover of Evanston, Illinois, recently assignedthis fund to Southrvestern, r.vhich will establish a professorship as u mer:loriai to her late husband. It is to be named the Charles R. Glover Chair of English Studies. Before his death in 1949, Mr. 'Glover had establishedthis fund. but had left to Mrs. Glover the responsibility of naming the beneficiary. Mrs. Glover visited Southwestern for the first time in the .spring of 1950 and was favorably impressedby the college. She was pleasedwith the Gothic buildings and with the students, a number of whom she met. Their friendliness and worthwhileness in particular appealed to her. She also met a number of the membersof the administra, tion and faculty, and cameto feel that South- western was an appropriate institution in which to establish a memorial to her hus. band. A secondvisit to Southwesternin the Dr. John A. Redhead, Jr. fall of 1950 confirmed this impression.
