JOHN DEAN, MARTIN AND ANNELISE ANDERSON, AND RICHARD BEN VENISTE TO SPEAK AT RICHARD NIXON PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY

May 27, 2009 -- The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, a federal historical institution operated by the National Archives and Record Administration, announces its summer public programming schedule. Former White House Counsel John W. Dean, former Nixon aide Martin Anderson and his wife economist Annelise Anderson, and former Watergate prosecutor and 9/11 Commissioner Richard Ben-Veniste will appear at separate events at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, California. All events are free and open to the public. John W. Dean, who served as President Nixon’s White House Counsel from 1970 until his resignation in 1973, will speak June 17 at 7:00 p.m. about a new edition of his memoir of Watergate, Blind Ambition. Dean will also sign copies of the book. Martin and Annelise Anderson, Hoover Institution fellows and former Reagan administration officials, will discuss and sign copies of their new book, Reagan’s Secret War: The Untold Story of His Fight To Save the World from Nuclear Disaster, on June 19 at 2:30 p.m. Richard Ben-Veniste, who participated in the Watergate and Whitewater investigations before joining the 9/11 Commission, will discuss and sign his new book, The Emperor’s New Clothes: Exposing the Truth from Watergate to 9/11, on July 8 at 7:00 p.m.
