The North Valley Chorale (NVC) is a community of 65 members based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. We have performed at the Kennedy Center (Washington, DC), Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall (New York City, NY), and the Herberger Theater and Orpheum Theater (Phoenix, AZ). In 2016, we completed our first international tour, visiting , Austria and the .

This year, we celebrated our 10th anniversary season with performances of J.S. Bach’s “Magnificat in D”, Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”, Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna”, and our anniversary concert “Gotta Sing”, featuring many of the songs from this tour programme. NVC is happy and proud to present music from various genres, that are composed or arranged by contemporary American composers, most of whom are still active today. There are a few exceptions:

The Gift to be Simple - an American Shaker tune arranged by Bob Chilcott of the King’s Singers.

When the Saints Go Marching In - a traditional American song arranged by John Rutter.

Ubi Caritas – written by Ola Gjeilo, a Norwegian-born composer, now resident in New York City, composer in residence for the Phoenix Chorale.
