23 H.E.S.A.

Hotel Europejski Spółka Akcyjna was set up in 1921 by the descendants of the founder of the hotel - Aleksander

Przeździecki. Seweryn Czetwertyński served as the first president of the company, which managed the building with great success until World War II. In 1948, the Hotel Europejski was taken away from H.E.S.A. by the communist regime and the company was suspended. In 1991, the descendants of the Przeździecki and Czetwertyński families decided to sue the state-owned hotel chain, Orbis, for the return of ownership of the hotel. The long court battle ended in April 2005 when the family-managed company regained its rights to the property. In 2012, a two-third majority of the shareholders decided to sell their shares to the Swiss company Takami Holding. In 2013, the remaining heirs of the pre-war owners, along with the new majority shareholder and financing provider began the renovation works that will restore the iconic

Hotel Europejski with the highest renown akin to its former splendor.
