Regional Campus, Payyannur a) M.A. – Malayalam, Hindi, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit Sahitya, Sanskrit Vyakarana and Sanskrit Vedanta b) Master of Social Work ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION i) M.A.& M Sc Admission to various M.A. & M Sc Programmes for the academic year 2020-21 is based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination /interview to be conducted in May 2021. Eligibility for applying to M.A./M.Sc programme is any Under Graduate degree recognized by Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit . Those regular students under Choice Based Credit and Semester System of U.G. programme who have successfully completed all the courses and semesters of I to V Semesters and appearing for the final semester examination in April-May 2021 are also eligible to apply for the programmes offered on the condition that they should produce the provisional /degree certificate by 31.8.2021. Those who secure a minimum of 40% of Marks in the entrance examinations will be qualified for admission. A relaxation of 5% will be available for applicants belonging to SC/ST and differently abled categories. Aptitude and practical test will be conducted for M.A. Music, Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattom and Theatre in addition to the written test. No person shall be eligible for admission to a 3 PG programme if he/ she is currently on the rolls of a PG programme in another subject/ discipline offered by the University. The transfer certificate shall be produced at the time of admission. ii) MSW Eligibility for applying to MSW programme is a bachelor degree in any discipline (10+2+3) recognized by Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit. Admission to the MSW programme will be on the basis of the an Comprehensive Social Work Admission Test conducted by the University. Those who have obtained an Under Graduate Degree , or are appearing for final semester Under Graduate Degree examinations are eligible to attend the Admission Test . A prospective student seeking admission to MSW is expected to have competencies in the following faculties and the admission test has to invariably test these aspects of aspirant. Aptitude - to serve the society and to take up social work as a profession. Knowledge - a general knowledge on society, social problems and development issues for the application of them in the practices of social work and knowledge backgrounds to support the academic learning Skill - for effective communication, for organizing and managing people and programs, and leading qualities. Intellect - to competitively perform in academic activities Language - Proficiency in English apart from other working Languages. The admissions including the choice of the campus will be based on the final rank list prepared by the University according to the University regulations and government directions. 10% weightage (of the mark in the Common admission test) will be added to marks secured in the Common Admission Test to the candidates having Bachelor’s degree in Social work as their eligibility while preparing the final rank list. A relaxation of 5% marks will be available for applicants belonging to SC/ST and Differently Abled categories on the eligibilty for qualifying admission test. The transfer certificates shall be produced at the time of admission. No person shall be eligible for admission to a PG programme if he/ she is currently on the rolls of a PG programme in another subject/ discipline offered by the University. iii) MFA A candidate seeking admission for the 2 year Master of Fine Arts Degree Programme shall fulfill the following condition. (a) Should have passed the Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts in concerned subject of any University recognized by Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate. SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5% marks relaxation. 4 (b) No person shall be eligible for admission to a P.G. Programme if he/she is currently on the rolls for a P.G. Programme in another discipline offered by the University. (c) A student should produce an equivalency certificate if he/she is availed the degree from the universities outside of Kerala State. iv) MPES A candidate for admission to the two-year Master of Physical Education and Sports (M.P.E.S) Degree Programme shall fulfill the following conditions : 1) Should have passed the Bachelor Degree in Physical Education (B.P.E)/B.P.Ed /B.P.E.S of any university recognized by Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady OR have passed a post graduate degree in Physical Education of at least one year duration of an Indian or Foreign University or Board appointed by the Education Department of the State or Union Territory recognized by the Sree Sankaracharya University Of Sanskrit, Kalady, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. 2) Those who are appearing for the final year degree is eligible to write the entrance test and attend the practical component as detailed in the selection procedure. 3) The transfer certificate shall be produced at the time of admission and the Migration certificate can be produced at a later date. 4) No person shall be eligible for admission to a P.G degree programme if he/she is currently on the Rolls for a P.G programme in another discipline offered by the University 5) Should be below the age of 28 years as on Ist July of the concerned year. SC/ST candidates will be given the eligible relaxation. Age relaxation of one year per Inter University Participation will be given, limited to a maximum of three years. 6) Should be physically fit for daily heavy load of physical activities and should not have physical deformity or mental disability. 7) In the event of pregnancy during the programme, women students may be permitted to discontinue for a minimum period of 15 (fifteen) months and allowed to rejoin in the beginning of the same semester, whether summer or monsoon from where they discontinued, that immediately follows the period of break. Selection Procedure : The candidates shall be selected for admission from the rank list prepared on the basis of the following criteria. a) Written Test (Based on B.P.E./B.P.Ed./B.P.E.S Syllabus) - 50 marks b) Game Proficiency - 25 marks 5 c) Physical Fitness Test( AAHPERD youth fitness test) - 15 marks d) Sports Achievement - 10 marks Total -100 marks Candidates should secure 50% marks in the selection test to be included in the rank list. General reservation rules applicable to post graduate degree course at the university departments shall be followed while admitting candidates from the rank list. A relaxation of 5% will be available for applicants belonging to SC/ST. v) P.G.Diploma in Translation and Office Proceedings in Hindi Eligibility for admission to the P.G.Diploma in Translation and Office Proceedings in Hindi Programme shall be a Degree in any discipline recognized by this University. Candidates who discontinued a P.G.Course shall not be admitted to the P.G. Diploma Programme. Students who undergo any regular P.G.Programme can seek admission to the P.G.Diploma Programme. There is no age restriction in admission. Students who are appearing for their final Degree examination can also apply. vi) P.G.Diploma in Wellness and Spa Management. Candidates who have passed BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) Degree from an institution recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine and shall possess a permanent registration in the respective council/Board of the concerned state, are eligible for admission. The Original certificates of the qualifying examination, Permanent Registration, Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate shall be produced at the time of the admission. If the Migration Certificate is not produced at the time of admission, the same shall be submitted within a period of two months from the date of admission. No person shall be eligible for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Programme if he/she is currently on the Rolls for any academic programmes in any other subject/discipline offered in this University or in any other institution.The maximum age for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Wellness and Spa Management shall be 35.

For this the Master Plan area/ Ponnani town is delineated as the Ponnani Municipal area. 1.1 The Town Ponnani is an ancient coastal town and an important fishing center in Malappuram District. Spread over an area of 24.82 km2, the town is situated at the mouth of Bharathapuzha, the second longest river of the State, and is bounded by the Lakshadweep Sea on the west. Thus the town was prominent as a scenic, coastal town since ancient times. Being a major coastal town, the place has much historical significance too.
