MINUTES OF THE HOUSE TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson at 1:30 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2019, in room 582-N of the Capitol.

All members were present except: Representative – Excused Representative Michael Houser – Excused Representative – Excused Representative – Excused Representative – Excused

Substitute members: Representative , appointed substitute member to the committee

Committee staff present: Adam Siebers, Office of Revisor of Statutes Betty Boaz, Committee Assistant Chris Waggoner, Office of Revisor of Statutes Jessa Farmer, Legislative Research Department Jill Shelley, Legislative Research Department

Conferees appearing before the Committee: No conferees present

Chairman Proehl opened the meeting and opened HB2373 for Final Action.

Final action on: HB2373 — Creating the transportation planning program. Staff explained the bill and answered questions. Staff passed out a technical amendment showing statutory reference updates. (Attachment 1) Representative Helgerson Moved to adopt the amendment, seconded by Representative Hoheisel. Motion passed. Back on the bill as amended. Representative Helgerson Moved to adopt an amendment to change the wording in New Sec. 2. from "federal funds" to "non-state moneys." The Motion was seconded by Representative Hoheisel and the Motion carried. Back on the bill as further amended. Representative Helgerson Moved passage of HB2373, as amended , seconded by Representative Claeys. There was some discussion. Motion carried.

Chairman Proehl thanked the Revisor staff and the Research staff for their diligent work all Session. The Chairman advised the Committee Members to take their file folders if they wanted to keep any of the information because anything remaining would be recycled.
