Citytv Presents the Broadcast Special City Fights Cancer Friday, September 10

(, September 8) Join Citytv on Friday, September 10 for an evening of programming dedicated to cancer awareness and fundraising with the Citytv original presentation of City Fights Cancer at 7pm (6pm CT) followed by Stand up to Cancer at 8pm (7pm CT).

In the touching Citytv special broadcast hosted by , Citytv and the Canadian Cancer Society team up to raise public awareness and funds to fight cancer. City Fights Cancer will bring viewers inspirational stories of courage and strength from across the country, and give people watching at home a chance to get involved by donating to Canadian cancer research funded by the Canadian Cancer Society. Then, hear personal stories of hope and survival from CityNews anchor, Mark Dailey; CityNews reporter, Cynthia Mulligan; Juno-Award winning musician, Ronnie Hawkins; hockey legend, Paul Henderson; and Olympian Elizabeth Manley. Plus, a musical performance by the Canadian Tenors.

Viewers can donate to the Canadian Cancer Society throughout the special by phone (dial 1-866-839-7777), online at www.fightback.ca. Viewers can also text “FIGHT” to 30333 ( only) and a $5 donation will be added to your mobile bill. All proceeds will be dedicated to cancer research and finding a cure. Join the fight!
