We also put together a display in our school hall of all the amazing work which the children created for our Life on Earth project.

During the Easter holidays Mrs Tweedy (our Family Health and Emotional well-being worker) organised an exciting Mystery Day with Iris Hillery and Allan Jones (from the Parish Church) in our school hall for families. During the day they ran a variety of activities including walking a labyrinth, painting stones, creating their own labyrinth, puzzles and lots more. All the families who participated had a great day. Mrs Tweedy is now looking forward to supporting the Labyrinth Family Activity Day at St Mary’s church on the 4th June. Many exciting events are planned for the summer term, including class Collective Worships, trips and sports days. We launched our term topic ‘Best of British’ this week. The whole school will be learning about our Kings and Queens and about St George. In addition Foundation Stage have their own British seaside, Key Stage 1 are finding out about castles and Key Stage 2 learning about invaders and settlers. We are continuing our ‘Run to Rio’ with Alverton School in Northallerton and keeping our fingers crossed that we will be there first! We will let you know who wins later in the term.
