[ 10 ] [ 11 ] The Commons Trust

It is with great sadness we must acknowledge the death of Nigel Noble, a Trustee and past Chairman of the Trust. Our sympathies and thoughts are with Liz, Jo and Katie and their families at this sad time.

Nigel was a long-standing Trustee who took great pride in belonging to the Trust, and who worked tirelessly to protect and enhance the beautiful Commons we are privileged to have in our village. During his many years as Chairman his dedication to the Commons and his love for Coltishall village inspired those of us who worked with him, and allowed the Trust to form useful links with other organisations to improve the Commons and open them up to the wider community. Under his leadership the Commons are now protected through Fields in Trust, an achievement of which he was particularly proud and which will help to preserve these beautiful spaces for future generations. Nigel John Noble 25/12/1942 - 28/12/2019 Nigel was well-respected as a man of great integrity and honesty, he was unpretentious and considerate towards others, a kind and loyal friend with a wonderful sense of humour, and a true gentleman. He will be sorely missed and very fondly remembered by us all. The Trust has lost a valued colleague, and we have lost a true friend.
