UMYU SPRS HOST SPELLING BEE COMPETITION

As part of its effort to give back to its community, the Voluntary teaching programme of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University has seen to a successful spelling Bee competition for a Junior Secondary School.

In a remark, the Director of SPRS UMYU, Dr.Bishir Muhammad Gide who is the host of the competition express happiness over the success of the event and assured continuous support of the SPRS towards programmes of such nature.

The Spelling Bee competition which was inspired by one of the Volunteer teachers from SPRS UMYU Mal. Abdullahi Sani Kaita was organized for JSS 1 students of Modoji Community Day Junior Secondary School.

The Chairman of the Community schools’ Committee, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Danbaiwa thanked the organizers and called on them to make these kinds of activities a yearly event for both public, private and community Mal. Abdullahi Sani said the idea of the schools competition is to correct the mistakes often made when it comes to organizing spelling Bee competitions across the State.
