TWEENHILLS 2015 BREEDING to be CHAMPIONS 3 Nestling between the Malvern Hills and the River Severn this is prime dairy and beef country where stock thrives and trees grow broad and tall. Covering over 485 acres of the finest permanent pasture, the paddocks at Tweenhills Farm & Stud are sheltered by ancient hedgerows and magnificent oaks, and are farmed in strict rotation with our resident red Aberdeen Angus suckler herd. During the winter months the farm is grazed extensively by sheep. The farm has changed a great deal since David’s grandmother Nell Pennell milked and raised her award winning Guernsey herd and bred the world famous Bwlch prefixed riding ponies. Since 1995, three neighbouring properties have been added in Corsend Farm, Chargy Hill Farm and Catsbury on our northern boundary. Tweenhills is home to the new stallion unit and visiting mares, Corsend Farm houses our modern foaling unit and Chargy Hill is kept predominantly as a young stock farm with a range of winter barns. Recently a fabulous 30 metre by 40 metre outdoor school with Polytrack surface was added to the facilities at Tweenhills for long-reining, lunging and breaking-in the yearlings. All together we have an excellent world class facility on this, the most fertile of ground. 4 THE TEAM the TEAM Our experienced, dedicated and ambitious team are key to the continuing success at Tweenhills.
